May-funny Movie Contest

The movie contest is going very well!
Over 350 videos have been made and uploaded allready!

There’s one stupid thing though, there are cheaters.
Some people think they can win by changing the description of an old video of them!
This way they are on top of the most viewed list in no-time.
Luckily cheaters like them are disqualified.

There’s also another kind of cheating that sadly can’t be stopped, Refreshers.
Some people do this to get lots of views easily.

Player limit raised

Yesterday there was a big admin meeting at Erik.Cassel’s place.
Even Builderman was there!

It was a test to test the new Server player limit of 64 people!
It got full pretty easily, and soon there was a server full of people.

With so many people it got laggy pretty fast. It didn’t take too long untill the server was basicly frozen.

Of course I took a picture, too!

I put a red circle around Builderman’s main account, and one around “David.baszucki“, Builderman’s other account.
And a blue one around where I was standing.

I have no idea when this feature was actually added, I’m guessing with last update.

I also have a little contest news, yesterday two contests were started.
One official one, a Funny video contest.
And an unofficial one, a “Build ReeseMcBlox a place” contest.

Super Water Themepark!

Hey everyone. Just a short review today, I dont want things to get cluttered.

Anyway, Killertom3 asked me to review his place “Super Water Themepark!” which should be easy because I can do it ride by ride. So enjoy my enlighting observations…

Super Water Themepark!

Starting with the first rides you see, the really small ones. These arent so much for riding or whatever, just little easter eggs (the kiddie’s slide, pinball whizer and oblivinator.)

Right, now moving on to The Water Plummet. Its main feature is its drop from the top of the tower to the bottem (where you have to press a brick to fall, a nice feature unless you live in a cave and have never heard of click detectors.) This is preatty fun if there isent much lag while doing it, but it could be higher.

Now there is the well modeled and somewhat educational Lazy dino ride. The ride is slow but you get a good look at some dinosauer models, which is always nice. I found it fun to walk into the cave and jump at sleeping people… But the problem with this ride is that the flume/carraige is broken, so you dont get to sit in anything. But this isent a fast ride, so no differance there really.

Then there is the Log Flume. This is actully the funnest ride, because you more often than not end up dead (no emo jokes…) Bucause yet again the logs are broken, there is no safety in this one. Of course that means you just fly around over jumps and out of the screen, which is always fun.)

Well, my fingers are getting sore now. I’m off to go play baseball. See you later!

New super moderator badge, and some worse news…

“This badge indentifys an account as belonging to a ROBLOX super moderator. Only official ROBLOX moderators posses this badge. If someone claims to be a moderator, but does not have this badge, they are potentially trying to mislead you. Super moderators are viligant on all areas of ROBLOX including the forums, images, game chats and some secret areas. They have the awsome power of the glowing hammer and are not afraid to use it.”

Reacently a new badge, the Super moderator badge, has been added to ROBLOX. As stated above, it shows a moderator who controls the forums, images, game chats and various secret areas. Basicly a super moderator is an A-Team mod with extra powers. Lets hope they’ll use their powers wisely.

Now for that bad news…

Reacently (about half an hour ago) the forum had a minor spam attack from some sick freak called turtwigthehedgehog. His posts were all spam, and he used languge in his places and posts that was just wrong. but the main reason I bring this up is not about him, necerally, but about the direction the forum is going. To many pointless topics (and posts) are coming around now. For example these “hi” topics. All they have is “hi” in the title and… Nothing else. And I see a lot of these wierd asscii pictures around too, which is good, but they all have noob or lol in them. I really think the community can do better at this.

Models and Places for sale!

Hey everyone!

Today’s news will be about Places and Models for sale!
Lately randomly some models and place are being sold for a not so random amount (like 50, 250 etc) or even put up for free. How do they do this?

Above you see a picture of ROBLOX’ Glass Houses being for sale at the price of 60 tickets.
However, when going to the page of Glass Houses there is NO “Buy with tickets” button.
It seems that only models can be actually bought.

An example of a model for sale can be seen above, it’s ROBLOX’ GR Coolmaster Fridge!
You can buy it for 500 tickets, but it will not show up in your models!
Instead you will get either nothing or a random T-Shirt.

The GR Coolmaster Fridge was made by MrDoomBringer, who also has the model uploaded here.
You can grab one for free!

Now to the answer of the question I mentioned earlier.
“How do they do this?”

The answer to this is kind of unknown.
There are theories of it randomly happening, but also theories of the mods messing with us.
One thing is sure, it’s NOT the user doing it, most models haven’t been updated in months, sometimes even for a year.

And also a few of Miked’s models got on for sale/free, while he’s never on!

AWP_Map – Team Battle

My first post and review! Now, read on…

AWP_MAP – Team Battle

Now, the first time I came here, I enevitably got shot to death, as is the normal routine for me and Battle Maps.
But, if I had to chosse one place to win my Bloxxer badge in, this would be it.
It really does stand above other maps like that. Preatty much everything in the map is origional.
The guns, the scenery, the annoying players that always seem to kill you at the wrong time.

But theres one thing that annoys me. The team battling.
I like team battles, I go on Miked’s paintball all the time, but this has just ruinied it for me.
The main problem I have with it is that you can see your kills with a team point system
(unless you can be bothered to count your points.)
But theres another issue, this isent about the teams, its the players. Almost everytime I go on
there is someone with about 200 plus kills, Yeah? So what? Well its just that about half the players switch to his/her team.

But enough complaining, lets talk about something that we all love. Lag.
The lag here is fine to start off with. But like most places, gets worse the longer you play.
So its not great, not awfull. It should be fine if you have a good computer.

But wait! We cant leave without talking about: The AWP.
Proberly my favourite gun in ROBLOX. But then again, what would you expect from a scripter like Clockwork?
It works, to quote the description, “Press Q to zoom and unzoom.” Simple.

And so on that note its time to wrap up this review.
But should you go here for a fight? Yes, you should.
Ohh and, one last thing, I took some screenshots!
